Wednesday, August 20, 2025 / News Cook and Milford to Receive Fred V. Keenan 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award Earlier this year, the American Supply Association convened an esteemed group of leaders to identify and nominate deserving candidates for the Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award. The committee unanimously presented their recommendations to the association’s Executive Committee, which approved two distinguished individuals from the distributor community. ASA will honor Mr. Steve Cook, CEO of Baltimore-based Northeastern Supply, and Mr. Tim Milford, longtime CEO and now senior advisor at St. Louis, Missouri-based Milford Supply, with the 2025 Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award. To be considered, nominees should have a career of service in the PHCP/PVF industry, be personally influential on the channel’s current status, demonstrate dedicated service to ASA or the ASA Education Foundation, be recognized for projecting a positive industry image, positively impact the industry, and be currently active but nearing the end of their career. Cook and Milford are no strangers to ASA volunteer leadership. Cook was ASA’s 50th president, serving during the association’s 50th anniversary year in 2019, while Milford was ASA’s president in 2016 and former president of the MwDA regional group, now the 13-state ASA Central region. “Steve and Tim have a long history of serving the industry and national association,” ASA CEO Mike Adelizzi said. “It was easy for the committee to unanimously approve both to receive the association’s highest honor. ASA is fortunate to have so many strong volunteer leaders who have given a lifetime of service. Steve and Tim set the standard for future recipients.” Previous Keenan award winners include Fred V. Keenan, for whom the award is named, Karl Neupert, Ed Felten, John McDonald, John Martin, Frank Finkel, Nick Giuffre, Morrie Beschloss, Joel Becker, Dottie Ramsey, Joe Poehling, Joe Maiale, Jeff New, Gary Jones, Don Maloney, Rob Grim, Brian Tuohey, and Jim Lewis. Cook and Milford will officially accept the award at the association’s Annual Member Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in South Florida during NETWORK2025.
