Thursday, February 6, 2025 / News ASA LEAD2025 Strategic Planning Retreat Focuses on Key Industry Issues Facing Member Companies Nearly 100 ASA volunteer leaders converged in Southern California this week to discuss important issues that will affect association member companies in the upcoming years as part of ASA’s annual LEAD strategic planning retreat. Longtime ASA friend Dirk Beveridge facilitated a workshop where ASA volunteers worked to identify the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the PHCP/PVF distribution industry, which is at a pivotal juncture where embracing these changes is not optional but a strategic imperative for ensuring the continued relevance and success of the industry. During a multitude of brainstorming sessions among attendees, key areas were identified for ASA’s strategic action councils to begin work on: technology/AI, cyber security, political engagement and labor market/demographic/industry knowledge transfer shifts. A morning session hosted by innovation strategy firm New Edge centered on results of the company’s Growth Accelerator Survey that volunteer attendees were asked to take related to their company’s behaviors, mindset and culture regarding long-term strategy. Attendees were asked to answer questions from the perspective of their role in their function/business and their perspective on their company as a whole. Print
