Thursday, May 9, 2024 / News ASA University Enhances Profitability with FREE Vendor Training A large part of successful wholesale-distribution salesmanship is knowing the ins and outs of the products that customers request day in and day out. Whether it’s spelling out the benefits of a particular brand or comparing and contrasting options for customers across different lines, successful salespeople need to be able to talk the talk when it comes to vendor options. To assist members with on-the-job proficiency and to boost their knowledge of the products they sell each day, ASA University offers a wide range of vendor-specific training that helps employees learn about the features, benefits, and advantages of a particular product. With the variety of vendors, products, and lines on the market, it can be a difficult task to keep up to date with these changes. ASA University is ready to be your connection to the training you need from your vendors. Using connections with our manufacturer members as a starting point, ASA University works seamlessly with the vendor to directly source and deploy content to our members. Working with our members as first point of contact to import content into ASA University means that new course developments, timely updates, and course revamps are immediately implemented into our existing catalog, bringing you the newest product knowledge on the market. All ASA’s manufacturer members are welcome to share their product training with ASA-U – in fact, our catalog continues to grow. In the past six months, we’ve added several new vendors to the lineup: Sloan, Jomar Valve, North Star, Centrothem, Centoco, T&S Brass, TOTO, RectorSeal, Oatey, and Chicago Faucets. Over 20 other vendors are currently sharing content in ASA University. Better product knowledge can translate to increasing sales, earning a competitive advantage, and staying up-to-date with the latest product offerings.
