ASA’s Project Talent Enhances Resources for Members with New Recruiter Toolbox Coming Soon

It’s no secret that finding talented workers is difficult and the large number of expected retirements compound this issue for PHCP/PVF distributors, manufacturers, and independent manufacturer representatives.
 

A recent study of the industry’s workforce found more than 31 percent of the industry’s workforce are over the age of 55 with almost 10 percent 65 years old or older.  This is an increase in workers in these age groups since the last study was conducted in 2015.
 

ASA’s Project Talent supports members with their recruitment by attracting workers and educating them about the opportunities that exist within the industry. Supplyindustrycareers.com is a website that highlights the industry and the opportunities for job seekers.  This is supported by social media and email marketing campaigns targeted to students, women, military and mid-career professionals.
 

Project Talent also provides free resources to ASA members to enhance their ability to attract talent.  Resources include webinars, best practices checklists for careers websites, and the recent national labor study to better understand the state of the PHCP/PVF workforce.
 

Another member resource is an online repository of digital recruitment assets called the ASA Recruiter Toolbox.  The Toolbox contains thousands of stock images, videos, social media templates, job descriptions and more that members can freely use for their own websites, social media outreach and recruitment materials.
 

While we believe these assets can be a valuable supplement for a member’s recruitment efforts, the Toolbox currently requires registration and separate login credentials creating a barrier for easy access.
 

On May 1, 2024 ASA is launching a brand-new Recruiter Toolbox that will be integrated into ASA.net and seamlessly available to all members with ASA.net login credentials.
 

This allows ASA members easy access with no separate registration to these resources that will continue to be enhanced throughout 2024 and beyond.
 

In addition to easy access, the new Recruiter Toolbox includes some additional features including links to workforce-related articles, the ability for members to provide feedback on items found in the Toolbox and suggestions on other items that would be useful.
 

Members with existing ASA.net login credentials may login and access the Recruiter Toolbox directly at recruitertoolbox.asa.net/ or under Education > Recruiter Toolbox on the ASA.net navigation bar.
 

Members who DO NOT have ASA.net login credentials can go to asa.net and click on “Login” at the top of the page.  On the Login Page, click on “Register,” complete the form and submit.
 

The new Recruiter Toolbox is part of the next phase of Project Talent which also includes the ability for members to indicate if they are hiring when job seekers visit supplyindustrycareers.com.  For more information on this ASA member benefit, please refer to this story on ASA.net.
